Davey Graham RIP

Saddened to hear the news about the passing of Davey Graham on 15th December at 68 years old. Personification of the word legend and guitar visionary that paved the way ahead for many others. If you are not familiar with his music I plead with you to discover it.

Well said....his stuff with Shirley Collins, which Im most familiar with, is outstanding. Is there any solo recordings in particular that you can reccomend?

Word! Folk, Blues and Beyond. Hat. and The Guitar Player are all great LPs as are his EP's too. I cannot recommend FB and B enough! Investigate...

Damn fine albums Peter...Im going to try and track down the rest amongst the heaving throngs of Essex heathens buying the new Britney and Take That toot today although I think I may struggle with the E.P's and may have to have a nose around the internet for them!!

Have you heard 'Home' by Peter Broderick? a really beautiful atmospheric, folky album and one that should have had got a lot more coverage when it came out than it got....anyway, if you find yourself at a loose end in a record shop I strongly reccommend.

Have a great Christmas and thanks again for pointing me in the right direction on Mr Davy's solo stuff
